DENVER (KDVR/The Hill) — The “No Kings” movement is organizing around 1,500 protests across the country this Saturday, aimed at opposing the military parade that will mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army and the 79th birthday of President Trump. Several of these events are scheduled to take place throughout Colorado.
Organizers see the parade as a symbol of authoritarianism and plan to counter it with widespread community demonstrations. Notably, Washington, D.C.—the site of the actual parade—is not included in the list of protest locations.
The “No Kings” group has previously coordinated national actions this year, including on Presidents Day and during the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution in April.
