A man was injured and several downtown Indianapolis businesses were damaged during an early morning shooting on Sunday.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched around 3:51 a.m. to the 10 block of East Washington Street after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they didn’t find a victim at the scene. Shortly afterward, a man with gunshot wounds showed up at Eskenazi Hospital as a walk-in patient. He was reported to be in stable condition.
As officers continued their investigation, they located the crime scene in the 30 block of South Meridian Street. Several nearby businesses had sustained damage from gunfire.
