President Donald Trump welcomed back the B-2 stealth bomber pilots after what he described as a very successful mission targeting three Iranian nuclear facilities on Saturday night.
Trump shared a video on Truth Social showing one of the B-2 bombers landing in Missouri on Sunday evening, just a day after completing Operation Midnight Hammer.
“The GREAT B-2 pilots have just landed, safely, in Missouri,” Trump posted separately. “Thank you for a job well done!!!”
The footage also included a statement claiming Iran’s nuclear sites suffered monumental damage from hard and accurate strikes.
Rep. Wesley Hunt, a Republican from Texas and a U.S. Army veteran, shared the same clip on X, writing, “Welcome home.”
Gen. Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the mission involved over 125 aircraft, including multiple B-2 bombers. The aircraft carried the Massive Ordnance Penetrator, a 30,000-pound bomb designed to destroy hardened underground targets, and were used on the Natanz and Fordow sites—two of the three nuclear facilities hit.
The bombers were deployed from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, which houses all 19 aircraft in the U.S. B-2 bomber fleet.
