ViVoce, a women’s a cappella singing group, will be holding auditions in February, 2019 for our fall-winter season.

ViVoce performs folk and classical choral material, giving voice to diverse cultural experiences through song and story. ViVoce's stylistic range runs from Gregorian plainsong to rousing American folksongs. Recent concerts have included songs from Georgia, Indonesia, Wales, Romania, Bulgaria, Ireland, Poland, Serbia, North America (shape note and spiritual), Bolivia, Ecuador, South Africa, renaissance France and Italy, and England. To hear some examples, check ViVoce in YouTube. We have serious fun!

Members of ViVoce are experienced singers with good musicianship (sing a part independently and read music reasonably well). We enjoy singing together and aiming for musical excellence. We rehearse Monday evenings (October – June in NE Portland). Our first two rehearsal this spring will be on Monday 3/4, 2019, with regular Monday rehearsals continuing till our June concerts (6/29 and 6/30).
